For this weeks assignment I chose to do a picture of animals. We were told to try to capture the essence of the animal in the picture. I used a mixture of shutter speeds and apertures to capture the picture below of the goose flying over the water. I learned how to capture a moment in time for this assignment to truly bring out the essence of an animal.

School context assignment
For this assignment we took a photo of a scene around the high school and then used Gimp to edit in images from other pictures on the internet in order to portray the school in a different context. For my photo, I took a picture of the main hallway in the school then added pictures of Harry Potter and others playing quidditch and a backdrop of Hogwarts castle through the library windows.

Motion capture
for this assignment we were tasked with taking a picture that showed motion. For this we were taking pictures of Mr.Bush riding by on his bike while we panned with him and took a picture when he was in front of us. This caused the background of the image to be blurred but Mr. Bush to be clear. Through this we learned how to take pictures of an object in motion but have it turn out to be the crisp image while the background was blurred.

Black and White Photo assignment 2
One of the topics we were asked to take black and white pictures. My favorite one is the picture of the tree bellow because it has a shot of the sky that makes the sky look a lot more gloomy but on that day it was actually quite nice out so it gives the picture a darker feel.

Panoramic photo
Today we learned how to do a panoramic photo in GIMP. A panoramic photo is one that is generally of a few large images stitched together to make one image. This allows you to take large high definition zoomed in photos instead of one far away photo to get a much better picture. Below is an image of the front of the school.

Gimp Assignment 2
For this assignment we were required to take an image of a car and make edits to it to make it look like a sample we were given. The first image is the edited image. I adjusted the levels to make things appear darker and we also used the clone tool to get rid of some of the light glare. This assignment taught how to use the clone tool and the levels adjustment. These two things togather can make a large difference in the outcome of an image.

Macro Photography
For this assignment we were told to choose a topic based off the different types of photography. I chose Macro Photography which is the act of taking a picture of an object up close to reveal the minute details of the image.
The Shutter speed for this was 1/1600
Focal Length: 6
Fnumber: 3.5
This image was by far my best example of Macro that I took it shows the very small details of the image down to the single fibers.
These are some of the other Macro images I took:
